The Conference of Islamic Organisations (CIO) has alleged that some aides of former President Goodluck Jonathan approached the body with $3 million so as to canvass for their votes during the presidential election.

According to Leadership, Coordinator of CIO, Imam Abdullahi Shuaib, made this claim during the 22nd National Islamic Training Programme (NITP), holding at Odosengolu, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

He said they rejected the government's offer tagged: "religious fund", meant to secure support of Muslims in Nigeria for the ex-president and his party-PDP, during the general elections early this year.
"It is not a secret, they came, offering us over three million dollars, we said no….It came through their proxies to us and we said no. And today we have been vindicated and it is not even part of our own culture to take bribe. We prefer to go hungry than to collect a bribe from somebody, that is unlawful." He said that some officials of the Jonathan-led administration (whose identities were not disclosed) approached the CIO with money but it rejected "because we know very well that it was a bait; it was a poison and you cannot eat and dine with the devil and think the devil will not come after you."he said

In his first message to the public in the last 7 months, ISIS Leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has warned Western countries and Israel to expect imminent attacks and also warned "crusaders" not to dare fight on his turf.

According to CNN, Israeli Military officials are not taking the video too seriously because they believe ISIS doesn't have much of a stronghold in the country plus the exact date of the video shoot is unclear. al-Baghdadi called on Saudi citizens to 'rise up against the apostate tyrants, and avenge their people in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen'.



''Jews ,soon you shall hear from us in Palestine,which will become your grave. The Jews thought we forgot Palestine and that they had distracted us from it,Not at allJews. We did not forget Palestine for a moment, with the help of Allah we will not forget it,The pioneers of the jihadist fighters will surround you on a day that you think is distant and we know is close. "Crusaders and Jews don't dare to come on the ground because they were defeated in Iraq and Afghanistan," he said in the statement released through an Isil-run internet account.

''They announced lately a coalition... falsely called 'Islamic,' and announced its goal is to fight the caliphate,' said Baghdadi in the recording circulating among pro-IS Twitter users.
'If this coalition were Islamic, it would have announced victory and aid to the people of Syria,' 

On Saturday, ISIS suffered a major blow after a US-backed alliance of Syrian Kurds and Arab rebel groups, backed by coalition planes, captured a dam from its fighters, cutting a main supply route of the militants.
 
No one has heard from the Terrorist leader in 7 months ever since a U.S coordinated attack had reportedly injured him and he is thought to constantly move between Isil's strongholds of Raqqa, northeastern Syria, and Mosul, in Iraq, in a bid to avoid airstrikes.

Prophet T.B Joshua and his 47 year old wife, Evelyn have been happily married for 25  years now. In this new interview with Sunday Sun, Evelyn who is from Delta reflects on her life with the man of God from Ondo state. See excerpts below:

Please, tell us how you met.
Yes, I have said it before and it's still the same. Hmmm… how do I call it? It's just a divine arrangement. It's a long story but anyway we met and the only surprising thing there was that, it was the day I met him that he proposed to me.
Wow, really? On his knees? How did he do it?

Straight forward (Laughs).
He said 'I like you. I want to marry you' just like that?
Yes, but really I was skeptical because it was strange, so, I just want to thank God that it really worked out. Like I said earlier, we have been together for the past 25 years and it's working out fine.
Most people believe that pastors are not romantic. They fast and pray all the time. Is Prophet T. B Joshua romantic?
He's a great man.
Great man on bed?
Hmmm… I don't know. I wouldn't know because no woman would love to discuss her husband to that level, but I think he's a good man.
When you were getting mar­ried, was he deep in religion like now?
Yes, I met him as a prophet. I told you I don't want to go into details but I actu­ally went to his place.
Some people don't under­stand your husband, they say he's a mysterious man with mysterious powers, when you read such stories, how do you react?

I know it's not true. They don't know him, he's not a strange man, he's not a mysterious man; he's just dedicated to his work. He is a man who has the fear of God in him, that is it. Those stories don't move me at all because they don't seem to understand him.
Mama, do you feel fulfilled marrying a prophet and hav­ing three beautiful, intelli­gent children, all girls?

Yes, I feel fulfilled. I don't even know I don't have any son because I have lots of boys around me. In this part of the world, most especially, from where I am from, people cherish male children, but my husband didn't give me any reason to think of that.
You mean you are not under pressure from him or his fam­ily to have male children?

Not at all! I believe when you make that a problem, you begin to see it as a problem before you. But it's not a prob­lem to me at all.

Prophet Tb Joshua's wife, Evelyn in a chat with Sunday Sun has explained how he met her husband, the Prophet and how he proposed to her the same day they met. She also spoke about other things about their marriage and life. Enjoy!

Press statement from the Nigerian Army
Another catastrophe was averted in Kaduna State and other contiguous areas when troops of the Nigerian Army arrested 7 suspected Boko Haram terrorists bomb and Improvised Explosive making Devices (IEDs) specialists. The terrorists were arrested in Kaduna after painstaking surveillance and proactive intelligence operations over a period of time.
From all indications, the suspects were in Kaduna to conduct suicide bombings, kill and maim innocent citizens in the state and other surrounding areas during the Christmas period. Recall that recently in Maiduguri some of them were arrested while trying to detonate IEDs carried in food containers in public places.

The arrest of these suspects would no doubt assist in the fight against terrorism in the country, more so as the military have technically defeated the Boko Haram terrorists in the field, the terrorists have resorted to attacking soft targets through suicide bombings, IEDs and harassing attacks on isolated communities.

Therefore, the public is please requested to continue to be more vigilant and security conscious by reporting suspicious persons and their movements to security agencies. This request has become necessary because the terrorists have resorted to mingling with the public across the country after sensing the futility of their encounter with troops in the northeast.

Hello Kemi, please as i bring you my testimony, i bring you the Message of HOPE.
Upon hope that seemed to be withering and losing its grip, the Word of God from the altar, like mighty winds, came and renewed, restored and repositioned.
For 17 long years, we had waited.
Waiting on the Lord for children like other normal couples!

After some years,we then started to wait on HIm as waiting couples would do.
We listened to many testimonies, different  in scope and time. In all these, we asked God to be gracious to us and include our own testimony to our world.
And so we followed, pained in our spirit,the Master, our Lord Jesus Christ.
One day, we were before His presence, and HIS Word came,' You are here, you will move from ordinary to outstanding'.
There was a thunderous  Amen from all angles. However with faith and tears not from my eyes but in my heart, l clung to the Prophecy.
I had been an ordinary woman with no fruit, God, l needed to be moved higher.l needed to be moved to the next stage.
And God changed my story. HE gave me new songs, not one but many.

The Almighty God now includes my testimony among others. I am able to share what  God did. It is a privilege indeed.
Within 3years, God moved us from barrenness  to parents of 'double ' twins.
To confirm HIS Word, the conception and the birth of the last set of twins were unique.
Doctors in Nigeria and overseas told us we were going to have a- boy-and-a-girl set of twins. The Lord  overturned their predictions and gave us 2 boys this year ,2015.
We thank God that for the 17years of waiting, HE blessed us with 4 children  in 3 years .
Our harvest was extra ordinary.
Praise the Lord.

At times of global instability, the places where things remain calm stand out. That is the case with northeast Asia, the area primarily comprised of China, Japan, parts of Russia and the two Koreas. Due to the generosity of the Korean Economic Institute and Korea Foundation, I had the chance recently to travel to Seoul to partake in multiple meetings with government officials, journalists and other experts to learn about what is happening in the region.

South Korea finds itself in an interesting position. It relishes its role as a staunch U.S. ally, yet it also feels compelled to play a dual game of being nice to both Beijing and Washington. It was stressed during my visit that any attention Park Geun-hye's government pays to China should not be viewed as America "losing" South Korea.

The U.S. Air Force recently "neutralized" 69 enemy combatants -- and has taken meticulous steps to cover its tracks

On October 7th, at an "undisclosed location" somewhere in "Southwest Asia," men wearing different types of camouflage and dun-colored boots gathered before a black backdrop adorned with Arabic script. They were attending a ceremony that mixed solemnity with celebration, the commemoration of a year of combat that left scores of their enemies slain. One of their leaders spoke of comraderie and honor, of forging a family and continuing a legacy.

While this might sound like the description of a scene from an Islamic State (IS) video or a clip from a militia battling them, it was, in fact, a U.S. Air Force "inactivation ceremony." There, Lieutenant Colonel Dennis Drake handed over to Colonel John Orchard the "colors" of his drone unit as it slipped into an ethereal military limbo. But that doesn't mean the gathering had no connection to the Islamic State.

A twitter user has shared photos of a ghastly accident that occurred along Kaduna-Abuja expressway before Jere Junction. He posted a photo of the plate number and the remains of the car asking people to help identify the victims. This is so sad. Our prayers are with them. Another photo below.
